Mildred "Mid" Gradinger, 93, Topeka, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at a Topeka retirement center.
Mrs. Gradinger taught school after graduating from The University of Kansas until she married.
She was born Dec. 13, 1906, in Mount Hope, the daughter of Howard G. and Florence M. Hunsberger. Mrs. Gradinger and her husband lived in Halstead from the early 1930s until 1977. They moved to Sun City, Ariz., then moved to Topeka in 1998.
She married Dr. Billens C. Gradinger on July 9, 1932. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Jan Crow, Houston, and Lynne Haines, Manhattan; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Mike Gradinger, in 1984.
