With the passing of the fine Cox-OíLeary-Johnson teams of the early 1930ís, Ray Ebling stepped in in the middle of the decade to continue KUís run of success.  An All-American forward in 1936, Ebling also was a three-time All-Big Six choice.  He paced the Jayhawks to the í34 conference cage championship as a sophomore and, teaming with Fred Pralle, added another league title in í36.  He also captained the í36 squad.  A fine offensive player, Ebling led the team in scoring each of his varsity years.
