Fred retired in 1994 after 50 years of practice as an ophthalmologist. An avid hunter, Fred has undertaken two big-game hunting expeditions to Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, which hold a special place in his memory. Fred has four children, three of whom attended KU. He lives in Mission Woods.
