SEASON SUMMARY:
KU opened the 1934-35 season with two games against Kansas State played with 12-foot baskets.  Each basket on the higher goals counted for three points.  The first game was played at Hoch Auditorium on Dec. 14, 1934, and Kansas lost 39-35.  But the Jayhawks won the second “experimental game,” which was played in Manhatten on Dec. 18, 1934, by a score of 40-26.  During the experiment, Ray Ebling became the first Jayhawk to hit a 3-pointer.
